OEDIPAL DISOBEDIENCE is a personal work focusing on the construction of our own identity, the genesis, and the loneliness of our lives.

Inspired by his personal story and referring to the myth of Oedipus and the Oedipus complex in psychoanalysis, Gabriel intents to reflect the duality of his own life materialising in his work the questions, the challenges, the doubts and the unknown he faced along his childhood till now.

His works is an introspective journey into the remains of his childhood but also a questioning and exploration of his sub conscious mind. These works are made on a very free creative inspiration. Creative moment requiring to get into a spiritual level that allow Gabriel to open the valves of his hidden memories and thoughts.

Beyond the construction of his own resilience and the particularities of his story, Gabriel's audience is invited to rethink the establishment of the filiation, the inherited and constructed identity, social injunctions and the perceived image of our-self and beyond all the secrets and the lies from the backstage of our lives...
