Inspired by the iconic Delacroix painting from the Louvre Museum, the artist revisit the french embleme of freedom, Marianne, in a pop art version.
Painted on old early XXst century newspaper (1913 to 1930) this work is an invitation to rethink the concept of free speech and free thinking in the light of our raising cancel culture and the fundamental role of journalism in keeping alive this diversity of thoughts.
